Wonderful Tri Luma Tri-Luma Cream was worth it

I damaged my face using a glycolic skin peel and being in the sun made my skin go black. While on holiday in the Caribbean i went to a dermatologist, he prescribed Triluma cream. It was astonishing, within 2 weeks my skin had lightened with a healthy glow, only a slight trace of darkness remained on my forehead, it was wonderful.

However, a strong sun block is necessary i used spf 0 and for the first week a wide brim sun hat. I now have slight traces of dark patches months after completion of the cream so i am trying to obtain more. I recommend this cream but instructions must be followed. Only use a small amount at night on the affected area's.

I have seen wonderful results using this product for melasma especially on tan and darker skin tones, fitzpatrick 3, 4 and 5. It works really quickly and patients are excited and more likely to use a product when they see visible results quickly.

dark spots from acne Tri-Luma Cream was worth it

hi ! am from a tropical country in the indian ocean and i've been plagued with dark spots from acne ever since i was a teen.

Got my Triluma tube 3 weeks ago , i noticed my spots fading within the first week, there was a bit of peeling and my skin did become sensitive . But it's well worth it coz my dark spots are nearly gone. One other thing is that my skin has started to lighten around the area i applied the cream, and i have patchy lighter skin... not sooo pretty but am still happy with the cream coz god knows i've tried everything to get rid of my acne scars.

One last thing u really have to use a strong sunblock while using triluma. On the whole i would buy this cream again despite all the peeling, the patchy parts and the expense.

40 Year Old Mother of 3 Tri-Luma Cream was worth it

I had my last two children within a two-year span. The hormones wrecked my skin. I, too, had dark circles that I had almost accepted as a part of my life until I was prescribed the Triluma.

Now, I am a 40 year old, african-american mother of three who had the dullest, muddiest skin with enlarged pores and just looked horrible even with make-up. Another thing, to my horror, that my last two children gave me was a horrible darkening on my upper lip! This was the worst as it looked like I had a mustache.

I got the Triluma and I have been using it for a week. It must be the combo of ingredients together because my skin a brightened significantly and the dark upper lip is fading fast!

As for the price, the cheapest I could find it was for $132.00. All other places, its like $200.00 plus dollars.

Dark Spots My Legs From Mosquito Bites! Tri-Luma Cream was worth it

I have been using the Triluma Cream for a month now. When I first started using it I saw improvement within 3 days. It is still working but not as fast as it was when I first started using it. My mother on the other hand purchased the cream for the Melasma on her face and it is completely clear, and she still has a half of tube left. I on the other hand have went through 3 tubes, and plan on ordering some more until my legs are spot free. If anyone is looking to order this cream for a little under a $100.00 you can purchase it from a website called Triluma Cream for $95.00, or skincare online its one of them I'm not sure. PS I am NOT trying to promote any websites or business just trying to save people a couple of dollars.

For over three years, I suffered with dark spots on my right cheek and slightly on my left cheek. I also suffered with dark circles under my eyes. I have tried numerous products but the problem did not go away all together. I started using Triluma in April it is now June and within 2 weeks I saw significant improvement. I now use very light make up when I go out, but I dont have to. My dark circles are almost gone and the spots on my cheek are reduced. To avoid the burning, I realized that I must wash my face very softly and pat dry. If my skin is getting too red, I'll skip a night. Overall, I am so happy, I feel so much better when I take a look in the mirror.

I went to the dermatologist and he suggested Tri-Luma, he also told me to use a sunblock (La Roche with helioflex is the best) and to do not be outside!!! The treatment last 2 moth.

After using Tri-Luma for 2 weeks, I saw 60% improvement! The cream is amazing!

Is very important to do not be on the sun, to use a hat or something and to wear the sunscreen everyday!

I FEEL LIKE A BRAND NEW MAN! MY FRIEND DIDNT EVEN RECONIZE ME! HE TOLD ME HE WAS JEALOUS AND WANTED ME TO LET HIM USE SOME OF THIS "MIRACLE CREAM" HE CALLED IT. IM AFRICAN AMERICAN AND I LIVE IN SUNNY SOUTH FLORIDA AND BEFORE I USED TRI LUMA MY EYES LOOKED LIKE A RACOON, SERIOUSLY. TRUST ME. YOU USE THIS AND YOU WILL THANK ME. YES ITS EXPENSIVE AS HELL BUT ITS THE WORTH IT. I'VE HAD COPS COME UP TO ME ASKING ME IF I WAS A MOVIE STAR! WHAT THE HELL? LOL

I have been trying to lighten melasma on cheeks, forhead and bridge of nose for over a year, watching it get worse in spite of religiously using high SPF sunscreen since before it started appearing. Spent close to 2 grand on IPL w/ no improvement (5 treatments). After a few days of using Tri-luma ($200 a tube) I got the results I was hoping for. Although I was hesitant to try a cream w/hydroquinine because my skin has an adverse reaction to it--it darkens instead of lightens--I was willing to try anything and was even considering Fraxel. The Tri-luma cream works well and fast so it was well worth the hefty price tag. IPL improved the texture of my skin, but the Tri-luma is rapidly fading the melasma. What a relief that something finally worked! After one month I have had a huge improvement and what melasma remains, I'm able to cover with Derma-Blend Makeup (highly recommend this makeup, since melasma is very difficult to cover-up). I feel confident that with continued use for the 8 week treatment, I will be spot free or close to it!

I am African American and as many of you have replied hyperpigmentation is a downside of our beautiful multiple range complexions. I have suffered with acne dark spots since my teen years and I am now 47 yrs old. Years of embarassment and not to mention cost of expensive make up to cover flaws from enquiring minds.

I started using Triluma 3wks ago and I see a significant change in my skin. The spots are lighter and my overall skin texture is smoother.I still have some stubborn spots to go,but I am using less makeup to cover the remaining spots.

Triluma is expensive but worth it for me. I have spent a greater part of my life chasing Dermatologist and medications to clear my skin and most of those products were as pricey and not nearly as successful. My tube cost me $160 but I was instructed to use a very small amt and it has worked with a great deal still left in the tube.

Someone mentioned burning in their reply. I did have some burning once,But I contributed to my aggresive facial cleansing prior to application. I have not experienced any other negative side effects.

After the birth of my 4th child, I had developed dark patches on my cheeks. I bought the triluma cream from a plastic surgeon's office, the cost $120.

I was very excited because the dark patches started disappearing within the first few weeks. Then my face started getting sensitive and red, just washing my face hurt. Then on the 6th-7th weeks my face looked worse than when I first started using the product.

What a waste of money, time, and it ruined my skin!

I had suffered from a bad case of melasma for years and didn't realize what it was. I tried skin lighteners, etc. but nothing worked. I finally went to a dermatologist and they gave me a prescription for Tri-Luma. Wow! It was amazing. It lightened my melasma to the point where I am no longer embarrassed by it. I am so thankful that I finally went to the doctor. I thought that it was scarring from when I went tanning with an acne breakout.

My melasma became worse after using tri luma Tri-Luma Cream was NOT worth it

Reviewer from: Holland
Cost: $160

I am 37 years old,Latina, and I have developed melasma when I was in my 20's taking birth control pills. It became a lot larger and darker after my pregnancy. My dermatologist prescribed Tri Luma to lighten it, I noticed that it did lighten (not totally, but I saw a difference) my dark spots immediately after my 3rd day of using it, so I continued the treatment for another 3 weeks, than I stopped using it 5 days before I went on vacation where I would be out doors quite often playing with my 2 year old child.

I still avoided direct exposure to the sun and I used a SPF 50 cream by Garnier but even though I was very careful, my melasma became a lot worse than before using Tri Luma; larger and darker. After reading other reports from people who had used Tri Luma, I realised that most people who stopped using it after the treatment got the melasma back also larger and darker. I really don't advise the use of melasma.

Is there a treatment for melasma that works?

after reading about the reviews on triluma here I was so excited that there is actually a product out there that would help clear dark spots on my legs from previous misqiuto bites.

it was very expensive around 100 dollars for a small tube, i applied on a few spots so i can see results. i rubbed on for about a week now and no progress, so far it is a waste of money. i will check back later when i finish the tube. but as of now it doesnt look like it had lightened at all.

I have applied now for the third nite and have a little redness and slight burning feeling on and off during the day. I wondered if anyone else has had this experience. No discomfort applying or during the night so perhaps it is slow release hence feeling it during the day!!

I desparately want it to work so hope that these symptons don't hinder it. They are a mild irritation at the moment. Did anyone else experience this? Did you just continue.

I am only applying to the main marks at present ie forehead, cheeks, bridge of nose. I brought from skincare at a reasonable price and very good customer care

I have been using tri-luma now for almost a month. The spots I have are on my nose and it has lightened a bit, but the entire area is now red and blotchy and peels all the time. I used it on my chin also and it seems like it burned the area and left a bigger brown mark there. The cream seems to lighten the dark spots on my nose but if I miss one night I can see the spot darkening again.

I'm not sure I would buy more when this tube is done since I feel once I stop using it the spots will return and I hate my red blotchy nose now but I got a free sample so I did not have to pay for it.

The results from these cream are more instant when you use it within couple days of getting the dark spots. I use the Generic version of this cream called Tri-RTH cream ($36) for treating the hyperpigmentation I get from the laser treatments.

Triluma suggestions Tri-Luma Cream was worth it
white goddess

Triluma is indicated and effective for the treatment of melasma. It should only be used for this condition as opposed to any type of brown spot. I developped severe facial melasma on my forehead during pregnancy. It was impossible to cover it up with makeup. I am prone to hyperpigmentation and have a medium skin tone. During postpartum, my skin got sensitive so I tried numerous natural products to clear up my condition(vitamin C, rosehip oil, arbutin, white daisy, clays, kojic acid, licorice root extract, etc) and my melasma lightened 20% after 5 months so I was pretty miserable. I then tried progressively glycolic acid, salicylic acid, jessner's peel, microdermabrasion, tca 10%, etc no noticeable results. An aesthetician did one lactic acid peel and then recommended Triluma with a serum called RejuvaCell (natural product to hydrate skin). I applied Triluma once a day for 5 days with the serum at night. Start with a small area to see how your skin reacts. I then did the Triluma twice a day (small area) with the serum at night. After 2 weeks, my skin had cleared up at least 50% and had no signs of irritation. At that point, I was really satisfied because I didn't have to use concealers. I decided to do one week off, the results seemed to be slowing off a bit so I hydrated my skin alot and restarted the program. The Triluma seems to work better for me on this regimen. Don't use chemical hydrating serums with the Triluma because some contain ingredients that can make your skin sensitive and don't do peels during the Triluma treatment. Please note you must apply sunscreen at least SPF 50-60 and stay out of the sun, including the shade. Triluma will make your skin sun sensitive and your situation will get worst if you don't stay out. It is worth the effort.

I got some hyperpigmentation as a result of using birth control pills. I found about tri-luma online. My doctor did let me know that it didn't work, but I didn't know that the side effects are worse than the positive outcome. I read some reviews that it was a great product so I decided to give it a try. Before I started using this product the hyperpigmentation on my skin was barely noticeable, but after I used this product my skin got brown. I looked awful. This product it's like acid and it burns your skin. Before using this product my skin was full of collagen, and elasticity. I had no wrinkles or marks around my mouth. My skin now looks much older, it is very dry and now I have wrinkles around my eyes and my mouth. My skin is not as tight and youthfull looking as it was before. It has taken three years to get heal some of the damage caused by this product. I did get rid of most of the hyperpigmentation with cucumber slices with lemon. I also started taking Vitamin C and I drink orange juice more often. I always use a sunblock. Try to stay away from the sun.

Tri luma cream may lead to cancer!!! Be aware please!!! Tri-Luma Cream was NOT worth it
Maria Olsson

Hi! I am a russian who has migrated from Sweden to the USA. I have developed melasma (dark spots) under my eyes and on my forehead. I visited a dermatologist in the USA, FL about 1 month ago. He prescribed me Tri Luma that contains 4% of Hudroquinone. Have you ever read about Hydroquinone?- I asked him. As I investigated it I found the information that hydroquinone has been banned in many european countries including France, Sweden and Russia etc, for concerns about increased cancer risk. The FDA admitted that the risk of using the drug is not known and more testing needs to be done.In fact, the FDA also warned that hydroquinone has been linked to a condition that disfigures the skin. Anyway,I tried the cream, a sample that the doctor gave to me. He prescribed to use it twice a week - Mondays and Fridays. It was terrible!!! I used it just once a week on my pigment spots because my skin got red, burning and after 1 week it was peeling. Some doctors prescribe to use it once, twice a day!!! I put it on only once a week. Ok, after 1 month, 4 treatments I have the result: my pigment spots have not been improved at all. Moreover, the skin is burnt and now I have very obvious dark red-brown spots. I really look terrible. I can't put on any sunscreen because the skin is damaged by Tri Luma. I am so happy that I didn't buy the full size cream which costs $200 and the insurance doesn't cover it. I don't want to buy cancer for $200. Thanks. I've also contacted russian and swedish doctors. They've forbade to use it strongly!!! They've suggested to use natural products such as juice of lemon, parcley, put camomile teabags on dark spots, oatmeal etc... and of course, avoid the Sun. Please be aware, read more information online.

I have been using tri luma cream once a day for my melasma on my cheeks for the past 12 days. The brown spotting started to lighten after a week, and now 12 days in, they are very much improved. I had a tiny bit of dryness the first week which was easily remedied by my moisturizer, my cheeks appeared slightly red at times, but the fact is that when I put on my foundation the redness is totally covered whereas the brown spots were nearly impossible to cover no matter how heavy I applied concealer of foundations. My skin looks clearer and without the ugly brown patches, it looks much younger. This product worked very well for me, I will continue to use it a few times a week even after the melasma is totally cleared, as well as continue to use a good sunscreen which is essential to keeping the melasma from returning. Two thumbs up from me!
