Great for Me! Skin Effects by Dr. Jeffrey Dover Sun Effects SPF 60 was worth it

Great for Me! for sun care, sun protection
Windchasers

Yesterday I spent a full day in the Florida Keys sun and used the SPF 60 Sun Effects product. I have very dry skin and loved the heavy moisturizing feel this product left with me. The great news; I am very fair and did not burn at all. My son is even fairer than me and he also liked the results.

I noticed on this website that it says that Sun Effects is waterproof however, that fact is not stated anywhere on the packaging. They do have another product line with Active in the labeling which is water resistant. My daughter used that yesterday in a SPF 30 and browned out nicely with no evidence of burn and also felt her skin was nicely moisturized. She did spend most of the day in the water.

Smells funny, does not protect Skin Effects by Dr. Jeffrey Dover Sun Effects SPF 60 was NOT worth it

Smells funny, does not protect for sunblock, suncare

This was an impulse buy for me. I usually buy high-SPF sunscreens, but usually Banana Boat or other low end products. Skin Effects goes on less than smoothly, but does sink in as quickly as other products. It seems to rub off or wear off quickly, as I reddened every day I used it. Also, it has an odd chemical aroma. As the final insult, the plastic bottle (it's in a rigid upended tube like a shampoo) is not recyclable. I am not sure why this product exists other than to part customers from their money.
