Proactiv Renewing Cleanser was NOT worth itI found Proactiv's Renewing Cleanser to be over-drying and too harsh for my sensitive skin. The key for acne treatment is prevention by following a treatment routine daily. Since I couldn't use the cleanser every day, it did not treat my adult acne nearly as much as salicylic acid-based acne treatment systems.
After a lot of trial-and-error, I discovered that Neutrogenia's Clear Pore 2% Salicylic acid oil-controlling astringent kept my pores clear (thus preventing breakouts) without overdrying my skin.
Unless you have very oily skin, be careful about using Proactiv's cleanser. One other thing I didn't like about Proactiv was that I had to sign up for periodic deliveries.
