Patricia Wexler Anti-Aging Solution Starter Kit

I read the other reviews and couldn't help but wonder if any of the ladies who had such extreme reactions used the product prudently? Having worked in retail, and having been an educator for more than two decades, I'm never surprised at what people do!! First of all, the MMPi serum is meant to be applied in a very SMALL amount (maybe dot on in 4 points on the face and then spread out from there?!), and smoothed over the face and neck area. If you slather the product on, you're suffocating the skin and therefore the pores that you're trying to lightly treat w/ the serum. I have had nothing but great results over the past couple of months and I have normal to slightly dry skin. I am almost 50 years old and the usual reaction I get from people is shock that I am that age.

I got red hard itchy bumps on my face after using glycol peel for only 2 times. Even I had to go to doctor to get medicine which healed them but left dark color marks on the face.

This product is horrible and should be banned. I wish I could meet the dermatologist who introduced it and ask her what kind of job she is doing.

Never ever ever use this product unless other wise you want to get painful bumps.

I am surprised to read that people have had a negative reaction to the MMPi Skin Regenerating Serum. I have used this after having microderm done and this is the only thing I can use that DOESN'T burn my skin. I also use this while on vacation after I got a sunburn on my face. I have used this product for over a year--and LOVE IT!! Its one of those "can't live without" product. Also using her 3 in 1 eye cream---awesome. I have tried her other eye creams and have found this one to be the best. I am 40 years old and my skin has never looked this good. No more foundation--just some power and blush/bronzer.

I bought this product last week and used it the same day I purchased it the next day my face was completely dry and it felt dead (I didn't know this was a "peeler") what it does is "it kills or eliminates your first level of your skin on your face, it peels and then reveals fresh, new skin but this definitely did not work for me. I ended up going to emergency room due to an allergic reaction; my face was red, swollen and completely burn. This probably works for some people but be careful, read, read, read before buying anything.

I heard lot of good review about this product. I finally gave it a try just 2 days ago. My eyes are swelling, red and bump and my face as well. I stop using it today (11/19/08) and hopefully my swalling and redness will go away soon.

I am a 36 yr old female with moderate problem skin. I'm impressed, and AN ACTUAL USER.

I have small fine lines, some black heads, not the smoothest, problematic skin. I got the kit as a Christmas present. I LOVE it.

I've read some of the other reviews. I've never had any problems with any of the products. Yes, the regenerating serem is thick, but I like that. It leaves my skin feeling hydrated, and, unlike before, I get no shine ALL DAY. I use the brightener, and it's evening out my tone. The microdermabrasion system does burn a little when I use it, but that goes away. Do not overuse it. My skin peeled a little in the first week, but the end result is brighter, smoother, younger looking skin.

I also highly recommend the Clarisonic. I use it in conjunction with Patricia Wexler products and my results are better than I expected, especially after being jaded by other products. Get it, use it, follow the directions.

My mother's 75 year old face was really beginning to look old and she had been talking about shopping around for some new skincare products. I noticed the Wexler starter kit in the Body shop so I bought it for her for mother's day. She tried it, and began looking younger right away.

Her skin was so soft (like silk) and after a couple of weeks she stopped wearing makeup. Now it has been more than a month and she has purchased another starter kit because that is the cheapest way to use it.

A couple of things - she said she couldn't possibly follow the entire regiment because she was starting to break out a little. It was just way too much - so she stopped with the night one after a couple of weeks and adjusted the program to meet her skin's needs better. I'm not sure what she did exactly, but I'm sure she used up all the products because she is a clever and frugal old lady. It took her 6 weeks to use the one month supply - making it just over $1.25 per day. Most people spend more than that on a soda or a coffee.

The other part she doesn't like is that some of the products are in jars and some are in tubes. You can easily use all of the product in a jar, but when you can't get any more out of the tube, there is still quite a bit in there - pretty frustrating for something that is $16 for 2 ozs. - that works out to be $128 a gallon. A little pricey for tossing in the trash.

I have used all the WExler products available at bath and Body work for aging skin except the exfoliating scrub. I am over 50 , thin and starting to show the lines and wrinkles my mother did. These products may not prevent wrinkles but seem to keep my skin soft and fresh. I especially like the sun screen of 30 in the day time moisture. Tech new tinted foundation comes in only three shades but also has a SPF of 30. daily I use the anti aging cleanser. It Si creamy and seem to moisturize and leave the skin soft. It will not take off a heavy foundation. I take it of with Clinique bar soap and then use the Wexler creamy cleanser. I still like a tone and use Clinique in Mild.(not 1) . Then I use the serum which is pink an sticky. Use very little. Wexler's Daily brightening moisture is heavy and greasy. Put it on 20 minutes before you put your make up. The Light Wexler Moisture in a pump is called PM as it doe not have a sun screen but it is light and disappears quickly. I love it if I ma short on time. Al the various wrinkle fillers and circle lighteners seem to do very little for me. If I have time I stick them on. The best is the under the eye cream. It does moisturizer nicely.
In summing up the combination of products do seem to Crete a soft smooth skin. I ma pleased with them. they are cheaper than a department store line but more than the drug store line. Keep an eye out for specials. The serum is often on sale.

I' a total product junkie so I've tried tons of stuff that's out there. I'm 30 years old and have really fair, sensitive skin and about a year or two ago I noticed I was starting to get wrinkles, especially around my mouth and eyes. About a month ago I went to Bath and Body Works and picked up the Wexler kit. I noticed a difference the first night I used it. My favorite is the pink colored serum, but I love all the products. Totally worth the money to buy full sized!

At first I was very excited to try something new. My grandma suggested this brand because her sister had some plastic surgery and was using this product. The first day I used this product my face became very swollen as some of the other ladies stated.

Unfortunatly, my night time eye cream lotion got on my pillow and my partner got it on her face. She woke up with a very swollen cheek. I had to inform her that it was due to my lotion not some allergic reaction to food.

That was two warnings. I did not stop using this lotion. I began to use the day cream that has sun block in it.

At this point I am using the product day and night.My attitude started to change. I became short tempered, irritable, I couldn't fall asleep and when I did it was for a few hours and my head hurt. I finally thought the only thing I have been doing different for a week is using this product. I have stopped using this product for one day and I already feel better. Not so irritable and I already can sleep through the night.

I first tried Wexler's under eye brightening serum and really liked it, so figured I would try others. I got the skinb regenerating serum (the one that costs $150) and some intensive night renewal and repair cream. I used the repair cream the first night to wake up in the morning with a bright red face. Also, my face had these little veins coming out (not sure what they are called). This really had me worried, so I stopped using that and decided to use the $150 cream. Later in the day I started developing several little bumps in my face. I washed it off right away because I was so terrified. It has been three days now and my face seems to be getting worse. It looks like the bumps might leave little scars which realy scares me because my skin was wonderful before (I used this for little wrinkles and to try and 'start young' on products.) I just wanted to post this review becuase I think more people need to know the cons of this product. I will be returning it today and will never use again. I am still mortified at how horrible my skin has turned out. I am going to my dermatologist today as well to ask if it will scar. Good luck if you choose to try this product and BE CAREFUL!
