I purchased Bio Oil because of my uneven skin tones. Which are very noticable. I had been using Bio oil for about a week on my face and people starting commenting on how nice my skin looked and would ask was I doing something different. I didn't tell anyone what I was doing, I just would say I must be getting a tan or something. Then I thought I would use it on my stomach scars which I recieved when I got my gaulbladder out about 6 mths ago. Within the first 2 wks I could already notice a difference. When I showed my friend she couldn't believe her eyes. So I think I would say the more I use this product, the more I'm looking forward to the results I get. So far so good. I'll keep you posted.

I've gained a lot of weight lately and got stretch marks from it. Now I'm on a diet, I exercise every day and use bio oil twice a day - and already can see the results in just 2 weeks! My stretch marks are slowly fading away! The product is not too oily and has a pleasant smell. I highly recommend it for everybody who wants to get rid of ugly stretch marks. Overall look of the skin is also improving.

Pleasantly Surprized Bio-Oil was worth it

I have been using Bio-Oil since the end of January. I like that it has lightened the ugly stretch marks on my tummy. It has also helped (Along with light ab exercises)tighten my slightly droopy skin.

I combine Bio-Oil with shea and cocoa butters which in unison have made the area more attractive. Surprizingly enough the large stretch marks I had under my breasts are almost completely gone. As are the stretch marks on my hips and upper thighs.

This isn't a miracle oil but it is working well for me and my very sensitve skin. My son will be 3 in July. Hopefully I will have even better results by then. My son's father said that he's about to start using Bio-Oil because he sees what it has done for me.

The real benefits of Bio-Oil will take some time Bio-Oil was worth it

Bio-Oil claims to help with: Scars, Stretch Marks, Uneven Skin Tone, Aging Skin (bingo!) and Dehydrated Skin. It's also touted as a soothing after-sun treatment and a bath oil, with anti-aging benefits which are to smooth and tone sagging and wrinkled skin.

Bio-Oil, which is very oily initially, absorbs nicely into the skin. It loses the oiliness pretty quickly. If you've ever tried the liquid version of Zim's Crack Creme, it sort of feels like that on application, only it absorbs better. The scent, which probably comes from the Lavender Oil, is most likely enhanced by the "parfum" it contains.

Bio-Oil definitely hydrates and also gives my skin a bit of a sheen--I say sheen because it's more of a shine than a glow, but it's not a super-oily look. And Bio-Oil, in its hydration, does smooth out my fine lines a bit. The real benefits of Bio-Oil will take some time--for example, clinical studies of Bio-Oil for stretch marks state that 50% of subjects in the test showed improvements within 8 weeks.

Bio-Oil contains a self-proclaimed "breakthrough" ingredient, called PurCellin Oil, which is a combo of Vitamins A (Retinyl Palmitate) and E (Tocopheryl Acetate), Lavender, Calendula and Rosemary Oils and Chamomile Extract. It's also hypo-allergenic and preservative-free.

The verdict:

The anti-aging benefits of Bio-Oil are not immediate or dramatic enough to use as daily facial care.

I do like the hydrating feel of it though, even on my hands & nails. Need more time to assess its claims for scars, stretch marks & discolorations, and it could also use better packaging - it can be a bit messy.

I've been using Bio Oil for a few weeks now. I had heard it from a few friends and my mother and I was curious about how the product might work on my stretch-marked skin that I've had since I was 15. Good enough to say that the product does work, I started to see results just a couple of weeks after my first application.

The grease isn't much an I don't mind it because I wear a shirt everyday. Really nice smell also. I'm giving it to my girlfriend, whom I'm sure might like the product also. It's a little pricey for the quantity, but the quality is very good.

Hi,

Been using this product religiously on an old scar from a biking accident three years ago for about three weeks now. I haven't seen anything happen yet but it does moisturize really well. Came across a site call Bio-Oil Review and there are before and after photos. It gives me hope that my scar will fade at some time. Apparently, you need to apply for a minimum for three months twice a day to get proper results. So I guess I need to wait patiently. A bottle of Bio-Oil is affordable (about $10-$12 for 2 oz) and it seems to last quite long. My bottle still looks full. You don't need to put on a lot. A couple of drops on my scar was enough. Bio-oil doesn't leave your skin feeling heavy and greasy. Overall, I'm pretty happy with this product so far.

I have used Bio-oil for over a year. I am approaching my 70th birthday. My skin is what I believe is normal. I do not find it greasy, and tho I do not use any other moisture cream, I find that my skin looks good. What I noticed is when I get to almost empty it goes along way. I used it on a dry patch on my leg and it smooth it and the skin looks good again. I am as I said older but I am extremly happy with the product. I had used another product that was creamy and it was also good, however when I contactd the company they no longer made the product.

I love bio-oil. I've been using moisturizers(Nivea, Gold bond,Olay, etc.)religiously for years now because I've been trying to get rid of stupid little bumps on my arm that I've them had ever since I can remember. I bought bio-oil originally to try and clear up the scars on my arms from picking at the bumps. After about a couple of days(not even half a week)I went to rub my arm and I was shocked to find that my bumps had actually started disappearing. It's incredible. I don't even have to use it as much as my old moisturizers(twice a day). You only really need to use once a day. The only con is that I think it feels a little greasy(more oily than anything) and it's really expensive. In about a week I've use one-fifth of a $10 bottle. Totally worth it though. I'm gonna try using for the scars on my leg next. I'd bathe in it if I could. Try it!!!!!

Tchanielle, how do you mix shea and cocoa butter with bio oil, to get rid of the stretch marks. I would greatly appreciate if you help me with this. Thank you.
