
About Weleda
Stop by the Weleda site and you'll read that Weleda's been "pioneering organic body care and anthroposophic medicine since 1921." (Note: anthroposophic medicine is based in the philosophical movement encourages the individual to view the importance of his or her life in conjunction with the entire universe.) Weleda is the Swiss company that was the creation of Dutch medical doctor Ita Wegman and Austrian philosopher Dr. Rudolf Steiner. Dr. Steiner came up with the name "Weleda", which refers to Celtic wise women who guided their followers to an understanding of nature. To sum up, Weleda has Dutch, Austrian, Swiss and Celtic roots.
Wild Rose skin care line
A new facial skin care line called Wild Rose (found in Walgreens, Whole Foods, online) includes Weleda Wild Rose Intensive Eye Cream. The Wild Rose products tout organic Rosehip oil and Orpine to "enliven the skin and tissues around the eyes, helping to diminish wrinkles and reduce puffiness."
Weleda offers includes nutritional supplements, holistic body care products, homeopathic ointments, oral care and baby care.
