About Tri-Luma

Tri-Luma Cream (fluocinolone acetonide 0.01%, hydroquinone 4%, tretinoin 0.05%) is the only triple-action cream for the short-term and intermittent long-term treatment of moderate to severe melasma of the face.

Tri-Luma touts the ability to reduce or eliminate discoloration caused by melasma via the combination of its three active ingredients, which Tri-Luma states is more effective than any combination of the individual components. Tri-Luma test results showed that after using Tri-Luma Cream for 8 weeks,  women embarrassed to some degree by their melasma dropped from 82% of respondents to 40%.

Tri-Luma claims its cream has been clinically proven, in three studies, to improve and frequently clear melasma after eight weeks of treatment and notes that if melasma has not cleared in eight weeks, the latest long-term safety studies confirm that Tri-Luma Cream is safe to use until melasma is resolved. It is also safe to use again whenever the condition reappears. Because melasma can be worsened by sun exposure, long-term therapy should include sun protection.

I developed melasma around my cheeks after birth of my 4th child. Saw and purchased Triluma cream from a plastic surgeon's office...$120. I was excited for the first few weeks because the dark patches went away. But then the 6-7th weeks approached my face started getting sensative and red, even washing my face hurts. Then all of a sudden there were darker and bigger patches on my checks. I was worse off than when I started. This product ruined my face. If anyone has any recommendation please help!
