Sold exclusively through physicians, SkinMedica’s line includes several collections—each of which targets a specific skin concern or skin type. Skin concerns include acne, age defense and solar care; collections based on skin type include regimens for basic skin types (normal/oily, normal/dry, dry) and also those for “Regeneration” (skin cell therapy) and “Post-Procedure” care. SkinMedica’s TNS Regeneration System, consisting of TNS Recovery Complex (to rejuvenate sun-damaged skin), Vitamin C Complex (for its antioxidant properties) and Retinol Complex (to diminish lines and accelerate exfoliation) promises to deliver fewer lines, wrinkles and age spots along with improved elasticity.
In 2005, SkinMedica signed on a well-known celebrity to be the spokesperson and “face” for its TNS line. Who was it? Bo Derek. More recently, SkinMedica's TNS Recovery Complex System received Allure Magazine's Editor's choice award, and was mentioned on Oprah as an alternative to plastic surgery.
