SalAc is a beta-hydroxy acid (aka salicylic acid) cleanser specifically formulated for the treatment of acne. SalAc is marketed by Medicis, the dermatological treatment company that also markets OTC products such as Esoterica, and physician-only injectable fillers Perlane and Restylane. SalAc products are a potent acne medication alternative that claim to be remarkably gentle on the skin. SalAc cleansing wash can be used in the shower daily, especially after exercise, to remove the build-up of oils and superficial skin cells that clog pores. SalAc is formulated to gently cleanse surface skin oils and debris that contribute to the formation of acne.
