About Revitalash

Revitalash from Athena Cosmetics has a special story. Revitalash, according its website, was developed as a gift by Dr. Michael Brinkenhoff for his wife as she recovered from chemotherapy treatments during her bout with breast cancer. The Revitalash formula was apparently so effective that friends took notice and before long Revitalash was in much broader distribution.

Revitalash claims to deliver longer, thicker, fuller eyelashes in 3 to 10 weeks. Revitalash is similar to Latisse, an prescription-strength eyelash growth product, however it is not FDA approved.

Revitalash does not contain hormones, salicylates, laurel and laureth sulfates, methyl parabens, urea, uric acid, paba, or propylene glycol.

Revitalash has multiple problems. #1. Darkening of Iris (which means that the color of your eyes will change (i.e. from blue to brown) and potentionally decrease vision). #2 Being Sued by Allergan (maker of Botox) for infringing on their patent (Revitalash may no longer be around).

Revitalash has problems becuase it causes decreased vision and darkening of the Iris. They are being sued by Allergan and soon a class action lawsuit will be filed against them due to darkening of the Iris and decreased vision. It is currently under investigation from FDA as well. They even changed their formulation due to FDA Response. If you have used Revitalash and experienced any changes in your vision or darkening of the Iris please Report it.

Does anyone know if there is a class action lawsuit against Revitalash? I discontinued use and my eyelashes fell out and have not grown back. I have had a big hole in the middle of my eyelashes for over 8 months! For anyone using the product, watch out! When you stop using it, your eyelashes fall out and become short and brittle!

Does this stuff work on eyebrows? Anyone use it? If so, what did you think?

You should always be careful about what you do to your body. Anything that can alter your body is changing something in your cells. The FDA is not doing its job, these products need to be controlled, and they are not. They use Glaucoma medication for Petes sake!

I started using Revitalash 6 weeks ago. This past week I have noticed my vision has changed. Until speaking to my daughter this evening I never would have even considered it being the Revitalash. This has scared me enough that I will stop using it and hope things improve. Until this evening I was planning to go and get my eyes checked, although I just had them examined in the beginning of March.

I was using Revitalash for about 5 months and my vision got so bad my eyes would hurt. I had such a hard time seeing. I am 38 and thought it was going to be time for glasses. I didn't even think it was the Revitalash. I thought it was my age. Then it hit me, it seemed like it started soon after I started using the product. So I googled 'Revitalash side effects' and blurry vision and eye color change popped up. I stopped using it immediately. Where do you report it to?

I have use Revitalash for over 2 years. I my eyes are still blue, I still do not wear glasses and my eyelashes never fell out. Some of these scares are just about ownership from the pharmaceutical companies and the Dr. that formulated Revitalash. Don't be fooled...Revitalash is an exceptionally effective product. THe drug companies just want in on the action $$$$$$$$$$$.

i have been using revitalash for a few months. My lashes are thicker, darker, and longer. I have not had any blurry vision, and the color of my eyes has not changed. However, it does sting a little if it gets in my eyes. I have noticed a little darkening at on the skin a the base of my lashes. Other than that I Love It. I have even had people ask me if i was wearing false eyelashes!

We know that Revitalash has reformulated its product because of the side effects (eye color changes and decreased vision), but does the new formula cause color changes as well.
