The Bottom Line

Long known for its line of doctor-recommended moisturizers, Eucerin has branched out into a broader portfolio of skin care that now includes formulas to target anti-aging and rosacea. Eucerin Q10 Anti-Wrinkle Sensitive Skin Creme touts itself as a non-irritating anti-aging formula suitable for even sensitive skin, and claims to visibly reduce wrinkles in five weeks. Eucerin's Q10 formula also comes in an SPF15 Lotion version to protect against sun damage. Eucerin's Redness Relief line promises soothing relief for red facial skin. The Redness Relief line also has a four-product Relief Kit that includes a cleanser, moisturizer with SPF15, concealer and night cream. 

Isaac Lifschütz, the creator of Eucerin, developed the formula in an answer to Vaseline, which was first launched on the American market in 1872. Vaseline apparently deteriorated easily and did not absorb water. Lifschütz managed to create an extremely long-lasting, smooth ointment and he chose to name it, “Eucerin”, or "beautiful wax".
