 The Dove Company Line

“In a world of hype and stereotypes, Dove provides a refreshingly real alternative for women who recognize that beauty comes in all shapes and sizes….Dove provides a wide range of cleansing and personal care products that make a genuine difference to the condition and feel of your skin and hair.

The Bottom Line

As the world’s #1 cleansing brand in sales, Dove is surely in quite a few bathtubs. But the Dove line has grown quite a bit from its initial days as only a bar soap (“with ¼ cup cleansing cream”). Dove’s portfolio now includes an anti-aging line called Pro-Age, with formulas for face, body and hair. Dove Pro-Age Day Moisturizer claims to target dull skin and the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles and age spots by delivering light-diffusing optics and broad-range sunscreen protection.

Did you know?

Dove’s ad recent ad campaign—the one with real women—isn’t really new in concept. “Real” women have appeared in Dove advertising for over 40 years. The most recent t.v. ad for Dove’s Pro-Age line caused such a stir with its more mature—and very nude—“real women” models that it wound up being yanked from the airwaves by the FCC.

Any brand that promotes its products via true-age representatives, models, and spokespersons, is commendable. Dove has always fascinated with its milky thick aesthetic, sort of like melted chocolate. Beautiful. Paul

I have been using dove skin care products since it first went on the market I used it for all of my four girls from infancy, my oldest born in 57 and my youngest in 64. However i am about to change brands, why? 1st they removed the roll-on deoderant products, what was the easiest for my arthritic hands, then they removed the flat tops of the liquid products again making it hard to keep the bottle on its top for easy densensing of the products. the soap being to slippery to hold in ones arthritic hands Therefore as soon as I finsih what I now have will switch for bottles easier to handle.
