Unlike other facial “scrubbers” on the market, the Clarisonic Skin Care System is based on a hand-held device that employs “dual brush sonic oscillation”. Clarisonic claims the back and forth oscillating motion of the inner and outer brushes not only cleans pores deep down, but also clarifies and stimulates the skin. Clarisonic also professes that the Skin Care System reduces the appearance of visible pores, fine lines and wrinkles—and leaves the skin primed to better absorb any moisturizers or treatments to be used after cleansing. Clarisonic was also touted by Oprah as one of her favorite thing on her 2007 "Favorite Things" episode.
