Betty Beauty is the brainchild of founder Nancy Jarecki, who happened upon the idea to create at-home hair coloring kit for hair "down there" while visiting a salon in Italy. Apparently, patrons of the salon were taking home doggy bags of hair color that they could use at home to ensure their pubic hair matched the more visible hair on their heads. After researching the concept and developing suitable formulas that would be safe enough for the sensitive area, Jarecki launched Betty Beauty, which now has hair color available in the standard shades of auburn, black, blond and brown, and also "fun" colors such as hot pink. Stencils are also available for those more creative types, as well as T-shirts that shout, "My Betty is ready".
