For those of you who are bothered by the pain of filler injections, and aside from a few masochists who aren't, Allergan recently announced the option of a filler premixed with the anesthetic lidocaine. It is called Juvederm XC.

While some of us have been mixing our own lidocaine into the syringe, this welcome product  will not only make it more convenient, but Allergan claims that their technique provides a smoother more consistent level of anesthesia. 

Personally, while I will continue to use the great topical anesthetic my skilled pharmacologist friend provides, I anticipate less of a need for dental blocks.
