Periareolar breast reduction: Goes double-skin technique without mesh. A review of 45 cases
For women with sagging heavy breasts there are several options of care. There are 4 methods of breast reduction. This article reports on the use of a CIRCULAR SCAR -ONLY method for making breasts smaller. While not new, it has not gained acceptance by many surgeons because of it difficulty. When patients are properly screened and informed, it can be used in breast sizes ranging from moderate to large and it achieves a lift in all patients. 45 patients were included in this paper, published in the Journal of Plastic, Reconstructive, and Aesthetic Surgery January 2011. The patients in this study would have undergone a T scar or Vertical scar breast reduction if this circular scar procedure was not offered.
