A recent study of 113 patients confirmed that surgical drains (plastic tubes placed under the skin) are not typically needed after tummy tucks. This allows patients a more comfortable recovery without the limitations caused by drains in the first 1 to 2 weeks after surgery.

“I have been performing a No Drain Tummy Tuck for most of my patients for over 5 years. Most patients are relieved that they won’t need drains and feel more comfortable after surgery. Since developing and publishing my refinement of Dr. Pollock’s original technique, I was able to offer a No Drain Body Lift to patients and have eliminated using drains in most breast augmentations, breast lifts, breast reductions and arm lifts. Patients now can be more active and walk easier after surgery!”
