Breast Surgery

Breast enhancement and revision surgeries represent a large portion of my Orlando practice—I do four to eight breast procedures every week. This includes breast augmentation with implants or fat transfer to enlarge and reshape the breasts; a breast lift to improve the position, shape, firmness, and appearance of droopy breasts; or a breast reduction.
Regardless of the procedure, I’m after an attractive, natural-looking result. Unless a patient has a different goal, I strive for people to think my breast enhancement patients are just genetically lucky. The highest compliment I can be paid is when a patient tells me that people are left wondering, “did she or didn’t she have surgery?”
Not all plastic surgeons are born with the same level of talent for judging what is a beautiful, three-dimensional breast, and being able to create it. My extensive training in complex breast surgery under some of the nation’s preeminent experts allows me to consistently create beautiful outcomes.

Abdominoplasty

A tummy tuck (aka abdominoplasty) tightens loose skin and removes excess fat in the abdominal area, while addressing weakened abdominal muscles. The goal of tummy tuck surgery is an attractive new contour that appears natural and not “operated on.” Tummy tucks can look so obvious if the belly simply looks flat, but not feminine. Women should have a little bit of a curve at the waistline. Occasionally I’ll have a patient who needs a tummy tuck because they lost weight, but 99% of my abdominoplasty patients are women who’ve had more than one baby. I remove extra skin and fat and restore the abdominal muscles to their pre-pregnancy state. Often, I also do some shaping with liposuction, to put the “finishing touches” on their silhouette. The tummy tuck incision is made from hip to hip just over the pubic area, resulting in a scar that gently curves and can be concealed by most undergarments and two-piece bathing suits. Post-op treatment can help scars become even less visible over time.

Body Contouring

The body contouring procedures I perform at my Orlando practice include a lot of lower body lifts for a lot of mommies, to help them get their groove back after having children. A lower body lift procedure flattens the abdomen, as well as lifts the outer thighs and buttocks, so it's also a popular procedure with patients who’ve lost a lot of weight. About half of my body lift patients also opt for breast surgery, for a complete mommy makeover. A lower body lift is major surgery, but it’s about the same magnitude and recovery time as a tummy tuck. Women with excess abdominal skin can be great tummy tuck candidates, but when a tummy tuck is performed on someone who also has loose skin on the thighs and butt, the flat tummy doesn’t look harmonious with the rest of the body. With moms, I can achieve a restoration that’s pretty darn close to a woman’s pre-pregnancy ideal with a lower body lift. Depending on a patient’s goals, I may also perform liposuction to remove stubborn fat.
