A Brazilian butt lift is a cosmetic surgery procedure that uses liposuction to harvest fat from your arms, legs or abdomen.
The fat is then injected into your buttocks with a series of injections done six weeks apart to create a shapelier, rounded butt. The surgery for the Brazilian butt lift is generally considered less invasive than that of a Buttocks implant.
The Brazilian butt lift procedure initiates with liposuction.
Liposuction harvests fat used for injections into the buttocks cheeks. Your lower body (lower back, stomach and thighs) may be liposuctioned to make your buttocks become more prominent. This is often marketed as an additional benefit to the Brazilian butt lift; not only do you get a shapely rear end, you may get a total leaner profile that emphasizes your new curves.
The fat suctioned from these areas is processed and purified to make the injection materials that will be used for your butt lift. The fat is injected into different areas of your buttocks at various depths. Correct injection methods are essential to sculpt a uniform, smooth, natural appearance to the buttocks. A poor injection job will produce fat shapeless buttocks.
Potential side effects from a Brazilian butt lift
Complications may include but are not limited to irregular, asymmetric skin, numbness, bruising and swelling from the liposuction. Some patients ooze significant fluid from the incision and require precautions such as rubber sheets over a bed mattress. As with collagen injections, your doctor may overfill to allow for some fat re-absorption back into your body. This overfilling may temporarily make your buttocks look puffy or swollen. Unlike a butt lift that uses implants; fat injections do not have a risk of allergic reaction since they are your own natural substance.

Ladies (or drag queens) here are the only two safe options -- have the fat suctioned from one place of your body (or booty) and injected to shape the butt, (Brazilian Butt Lift), or get buttock implants. With either, get a qualified, experienced in-the-back-side board-certified plastic surgeon, and make sure your procedure is performed in an accredited surgical center because this IS surgery. While both Brazilian Butt lift and buttock implants carry real risks, the most risky that can leave you looking disfigured rather than risque, is certainly an injection of an non-approved substance. Hydrogel or anything else in the butt other than your own fat or an implant is a big no-no.

There is a reason things are illegal or blackmarket. They are not proven safe. What you spend for a cheap butt augment will be nothing compared to what you will have to spend to correct the complications that will result. Insurance does not pay for stupidity. Don't try this. There are safe means of using your own fat, and very safe and FDA approved buttock implants (try Sientra), but hydrogel or PMMA in the buttocks is just foolish.

Call it foolish if you want to, women have been doing it globally for the last several years. It is foolish to assume that because PMMA product is illegal in huge dosages it is unsafe, totally neglecting the fact it could be illegal because of possible competetive opposition pharmucitical, drug companies and the medical field have invested in, like a lot of things that are illegal in the U.S. Not everybody has fat for fat transfers or wants to deal with implants. Traveling overseas for cosmetic surgery is relatively normal nowadays and its shallow to undermine world renown cosmetic clinics because of U.S policies. everybody knows the experience of the doctor doing the procedure is more crucial than anything, so if the procedure were to be made legal in the u.s. anytime soon id still say travel somewhere else. Id say wait several more years though to see the long term affects of the injections, but from reading countless success stories not to mention they have been tried on HIV patients with severe wasting for several years and results have proven to be phenomenal. It is the same implant used to correct the eye during eye surgery so its biocompatability has been studied and proven affective for life terms, only not in huge dosages yet.
