If my doctor saves my leftover Juvederm vial, do I have to pay for my next injection?
I do not charge patients to inject left over Juvederm. I charge a flat fee by the syringe and if you have some left over, then you get it injected at no charge.
Some doctors charge an injection fee at these follow up visits, though. You should... more

How is Juvederm injected best for under the eyes?
Hi Juliet,
This is a procedure that I perform daily. After trying all the different techniques, it has become pretty clear that some work better than others. This is a tricky procedure - even the smallest over injection can leave an unsightly... more

Is Prevelle as painful as Juvederm? What caused pain with Juvederm?
Although there is a certain degree of discomfort associated with all facial injectables, good injection technique can make this experience tolerable. Even though there is no way to guarantee zero pain, your injector should be able to... more

Juvederm gone in a week?
I would think that much filler would be evident at only one week out. One possibility is that the fillers were placed perhaps too deeply, and they will fail to achieve correction, and thus you see nothing. Another possibility is... more

Still have bumps after Juvederm...
Hi pp,
Discuss your concerns with your physician. Fortunately, Juviderm is a hyaluronic acid and can be broken down by the injection of Widase or Vitrase.
For small bumps, light massage may help. Sometimes I will... more

Perlane and Juviderm are both hyaluronic acid products that last for about 6 to 9 months in most patients’ nasolabial folds. Recent studies have shown that hyaluronic acid stimulates natural collagen production so that... more

Widase or Vitrase for Juvederm corrections
Widase and Vitrase are both preparations of hyaluronidase. They will both be effective in correcting contour irregularities from hyaluronic acid injections. 2 vials can be a lot for a patient to handle, especially on the first injection.
The... more

Juvederm aftercare - How long before Juvederm "sets" and won't move from where it was injected?
It's usually not that easy to move Juvederm (and most other fillers) after injections. You needs to apply good firm pressure on the area or even use your nail to get it to move elsewhere. Clearly, just touching it will not... more

Is Evolence better than Juvederm?
Evolence is a collagen filler that has been shown in studies to last up to 12 months. It's an alternative to Juvederm, not necessarily better. It has been promoted as being a more natural filler, and if that's important to you, then... more

Is Juvederm better than Restylane?
Juvederm and Restylane are both hyaluronic fillers. There are three differences ihat stand out between hyaluronic acid fillers. One is concentration of the actual product per cc, a second is whether of not the hyaluronic acid is fully... more

How do I know if I had an allergic reaction to Juvederm injections?
Hi,
The best way of determining whether you are allergic to Juvederm (hyaluronic acid) would be to have a very small bleb injected into your forearm, and then watch for swelling, etc. I have seen two patients over the years with allergic... more

What caused rapid loss of Juvederm filler in my lips?
Hi Yana,
I agree with Dr. Salemy. As with other aspects of your health, certainly smoking can adversely affect the longevity of the product. If you have to return within a month for more product, you may ask your physician if... more

Virginia Juvederm hyaluronidase doctor recommendations
Sorry to hear about your bad experience with your injector of Juvederm. There is a saying among physicians that, "It's not the filler (Juvederm in your case) that causes the problem, but the filler (the person who injected you)".
If... more
