Lower facelift (necklift) improves the lower midface, jowls, and neck. This patient had full lower facelift with platysmaplasty and resection of subplatysmal fat. A high-SMAS flap technique was used to elevate the deep face tissues with redraping of the overlying skin.

A natural facelift avoids the following: pixie ear deformity, neck hairline step-off, elevated sideburn, blunting of the tragus, and windswept look.
