After my second cycle the redness appeared AFTER I stopped taken accutane, while on it my skin tone was normal and there was no redness. The redness stayed until I started my 3rd cycle and once I stared it the redness went almost completely away but once I finished with the cycle the redness returned. After 3 months with redness I went to the dermatologist and he gave me a foamy steroid cream meant for people with rocsea... it did nothing. I'm 15 months post accutane and it hasn't gone away.
I have been struggling with texture, redness, pimples that are deep, and irritation with sensitive skin. I have been prescribed to doxycycline, sulfamethoxazole trimethopim, epiduo, and retain a. I have been prescribed to these medications over the course of 3 years now and nothing has worked. Is accutane my way to go?
Im desperate for improvements. I know i need to be patient, but I've spent the last 3 weeks in my room not socialising with anyone because of my skin. I need to know if 10mg will do anything for my skin! (acne is moderate but a tonne of hyper pigmentation and redness)
I have permanent redness on my cheeks which started few months after my acne treatment with accutane. It's been four years, and I still have it. My cheeks looks fragile and very dry all the time, like a sunburn. What can I do?
I've been on Accutane for a month now and a few days ago I got sunburned. My legs and my stomach are really red and I'm not sure how I can help my skin to heal. I put on some moisturizing creme (Nivea Soft Intense). Will that help me? What can I do to make the redness go away? Thank you in advance!
I completed a 4 month 80mg a day accutane course 15 months ago. My face is constantly red and I flush often. I am fair skinned and this never really occured before the accutane. What can I do to get rid of it ? Lasers? Oral treatments?
Hello doctors, I (M23) have been off Accutane for 3 months now and all is good. The only thing that worries me is that to this day, my skin feels so sensitive. If I scratch it a little bit it gets red in 15 seconds, I thought that the side effects went away after one month, is this normal? Thank you.
I had acne on my cheeks when I was in my teens (10 years ago). Although my acne cleared up, the skin on my cheeks is still red, and the skin is of poor quality. I have attached a picture for clarity. What is causing the redness? How can I reduce the redness and improve the quality of my skin? Thanks in advance!
I have a lot of red spots left from acne that have been there for months and I also still have active acne and a lot of white bumps under the skin. I told my dermatologist that I would like to find a solution for the red spots but she put me on Accutane. She said that it will eliminate the redness from the scars too, because my skin is still inflamed overall and thats why its red. However, everyone on the internet says that Accutane doesnt help with redness so I dont know what to believe.
Hi I've only been on accutane for 5 days and my entire face is extremely red, patchy and very dry. I've tried applying creamy moisturiser constantly but the redness doesn't go down. What's going on? Shall I continue the treatment? I'm on 20mg per day.
