Hello. Just a question. I have been on isotretinoin (roaccutane/accutane) for a month now and i have noticed my face and hands are slightly red/pinker than usual. Im thinking this could be due to skin being more sensitive to sun but want to make sure. Weather where i live hasnt exactly been hot or anything... People keep commenting and asking if i have been on holiday :-P
I'm a three sport athlete. Just finished 6 months of accutane. I held in there with all the side effects and am very pleased with the outcomes. I have a dance in three weeks and was wondering how long it takes for the side effect of dry, peeling lips to go away. Also, i have always been a very red person which has become even more frustrating because of accutane since it is now effecting my entire body (arms, legs, feet, hands, face, everywhere). How long until that side effect starts to fade?
It's my 3-rd week on accutaine and I've got some pretty annoying rashes. My whole body itches. The most problem areas are the hands/forearms, it's very red and itchy, so is my entire body but is not red only these 2 areas seems to be red. So is this normal ? Should I stop taking the medication ? And if now how do I treat it ?
I have been on accutane for a little less than a month now and I have a rash on my hands that has been gradually getting worse and is starting to sting. I am taking 10mg in the am and 40 mg pm as prescribed by my dermatologist. The rash is not bumpy at all, at touch the skin is smooth so this rash is completely under the skin. Is this normal? What can I use to reduce or get rid of this rash? I have also been experiencing severe back, knee and ankle pain, not sure what to use ?
I started taking accutane for about 1 week before I started to see this dry patch on my knuckle. Then it stared to appear all over both of my hands, these scaly, dry like patches. Now I'm begining to see smaller patches of this scattered over my arm and elbows. I tryed using lotions, but all it did was made my hands burn. I know that I'm supposed to get dry skin, but this is really more than I was expecting.
