My dermatologist put me in a therapy of accutane about 5 months back , Most of the acne in my body cleared. But after those 5 months my acne is starting to reappear in my face . Its not that severe but still its there . So he put in in 20 mg accutane therapy for about 3 months . So I would like to know if the dose is right or should i increase or decrease the dose and the duration of therapy .
I just had my acne treatment (emla) and My doctor gave me 15 capsules of isotane to use for 2 weeks. I afraid my isotane treatment wont work well and gave me bad side effect. I have very bad comedone that deep inside my skin face. I just had laser treatment ( Comedone + Emla sth written on my prescription), and my dermatologist said i have a lot of comedone deep inside the skin. He gave me 15 capsules of isotane. I've came across a lot of reviews and most of them were on months to years of treatment, yet some of them had good results and some of them bad result. I am wondering, is 2 weeks of isotane will make my acne gone away?? and will i get side effect from that?? I am taking 10mg isotane daily. Thanks
I'm currently in my 6th week of a 4-month course of Accutane 60 mg. I was wondering, when I will be seeing some sort of an improvement? I have a few cysts under my skin. Will Accutane still push these out to a head, or because of the decrease in sebum, will they just simply fade as the bacteria lessens in the cysts?
I am a 31 yr old male, I weigh 140lbs and have mild acne that scars really bad. I went to the dermatologist and told him how I have tried everything and he put me on Accutane 40mg/daily. Then I saw charts online that show what someone with my weight should be taking which is more. Also is 4 months too short?
I'm a female 39 yrs old, I've been taking Isoface for about 2 years now. At age 23 a dermatologist prescribed Roaccutane. I had to stop taking it though because I wanted a baby. I have a healthy 13 year old boy NO birth defects of any kind! I wanted clear skin so I went to a Dr. in Colombia he prescribed Isoface 20mg 3 times/week - my face is COMPLETELY CLEAR! He also said that I can take it for as long as I want as long as I don't plan to have a baby; he's been taking it for 14 years now!
Hello, Would anybody consider leaving a patient on Roaccutane / Isosupra beyond the normal cumulative dose period? i.e. indefinitely? My dermatologist has suggested in some cases an alternative model can be used whereby a low-dose is taken for a prolonged period of time, with regular blood work done to monitor for any abnormalities. Although my acne is mild, it's very stubborn and psychologically debilitating... I'm interested in the opinions of other dermatologists on this model. Thanks!
