I've been on Accutane for 3 months and my acne completely cleared in the first few weeks and hasn't come back at all. I am struggling with some of the side effects and was wondering if its possible for it to have cleared more quickly and that I could possibly stop taking it early since its worked so well? Are the chances it comes back high? I had minor to moderate cystic acne to begin with.
I weigh 160 lbs and was prescribed claravis for 6 months. My first month was 40 mg per day. Month 2-6 was 40 mg alternating with 80 mg every other day. I was just taken off the medication after 6 months but still have about 2-3 breakouts. Do you think my acne will come back?
I'm going on a month long backpacking trip this summer and want stop Accutane treatment during that time. I've been taking 60mg daily for about 5 months. My skin is just about clear. If I stop taking the medication for this period of time will my acne return?
Ive been on accutane for about 4 months now. When I first started my treatment I had very low aacne(a few pimples) but my cheeks were pretty red. Anyway, my skin is pretty clear with maybe an occasional pimple every 3 weeks that clears up in a day, however my cheeks are still just as red as before. I just saw my dermatologist and he suggested its a result from roaccutane and maybe my eczema. My question is would it be safe to okay to hop off roaccutane because I just want the redness to go
I've been using Accutane for almost 4 months, the dosage that I used now very MWF 40mg and the rest was 30mg but it seems like my acne has no improvement though some of those healed but the redness was still there and it's still growing more acne. My doctor advised me to take Diane-35 for 3 months as well with my Accutane but it seems like the same..I also tried to used Conzace multivitamins because it has vit.e and zinc and still there's no improvement.. what should I do?
I've been on accutane for the past 5 months and my acne is not cleared and last time I went my doctor she tried to take me off of it but I insisted I wanted at least one more month. Should I ask to stay on it longer or stop taking it and see how my skin turns out?
It's my 3-rd week on accutaine and I've got some pretty annoying rashes. My whole body itches. The most problem areas are the hands/forearms, it's very red and itchy, so is my entire body but is not red only these 2 areas seems to be red. So is this normal ? Should I stop taking the medication ? And if now how do I treat it ?
I started taking accutane a month ago and I got sick the first week for two days and so it continued for a month I was never sick before accutane. I stopped taking it yesterday because I got swollen eyes, chronic headache, joint pain and back pain that goes with a burning throat and ears that never stops I can't eat or sleep. I took scedule 5 pain medication to numb the pain but it only worked for the back pain and headache. How long before accutane will be out of my system?
I am a 34 year old female on a 60 mg a day, 5 month course of Clarvis (Accutane) for moderate rhinophyma on my cheeks and nose. I just finished my second month of treatment and have not noticed any improvement. In fact, the rhinophyma on my nose has spread and become more noticeable. Should I stop taking Clarvis? Does it take longer to work on rhinophyma? If I continue with this course of treatment, when will I see results?
