“V-Beam Purpura More Than Expected - Portland, OR”
Not Sure
Spent: $500 in Portland, Or.
I have had V-beam a number of times and it works well for spider veins. 3 weeks ago today I had V-beam purpura. The results were purple spots so severe it did indeed look like a black marker was used all over my face. I sort of thought at first this extreme look was trauma that would go away...

Not Worth It
Spent: $400 in Omaha, NE
I went to get the vBeam on a few broken capillaries on my cheeks, expecting 0 downtime. Like getting Botox. It was horribly painful and I ended up with nearly black bruises and swelling so bad I was put on prednisone. I couldn't leave the house for a week. Now, 5 months later, no remaining...

“Wow, I Feel Normal Again”
Worth It
Spent: $605 in Seattle
Rosacea is only apparent on my left cheek and a tiny bit on my nose. Both appear to be caused by sun damage because I've had bad sunburns in those locations because I didn't reapply sunscreen enough.
I also slept on my left side for 7 years. Once the rosacea started flaring up...

I had a V beam treatment about a week ago. Surprisingly, I had very little downtime, only a few hours! I was red when I went to bed, like a sunburn. When I woke up the next day I could see improvement in the range of about 15-20% I had a few veins which were reduced about 50% which was very nice...

V Beam: was it worth it?
V Beam Information
- A V- Beam laser is used to treat skin conditions including roscea, birthmarks (port wine stains), and broken blood vessels.
- V-Beam lasers (a pulsed dye laser made by Candela) will target your blood vessels, heating them and causing them to collapse. A cooling spray accompanies the laser pulse to reduce pain from this process.
- When treating rosacea, you may need to undergo several V-beam laser treatments, a month apart.
- V-beam side effects may include redness and swelling. Redness and bruising (if present) is usually gone by 1 week. Make-up may be applied immediately after treatment.
