I have a very specific request when it comes to my rhinoplasty goals and I fear that it may not be possible to achieve. I have an overly large nose with a hump, yet I would like to keep some elements of it. I prefer stronger more androgynous features and would like to keep the little bit of masculinity I feel that a stronger nose brings to my face. However, I cannot stand my nose tip. I hate how bulbous, droopy, shapeless, and over projected it looks. Is it possible to still keep some of my nose hump/ the bony part of my nose in tact while completely altering the tip to be less droopy and have more structure without it looking not harmonious? Im okay with taking down some of the size of my nose hump as it is disproportionate to my face, but I dont want to completely lose it to have a perfectly straight nose or worse a sloped nose that is too feminine for me. All Ive seen from before and after pictures thus far look too feminine and artificial for my tastes. The main thing I want changed is the tip and the nostrils because they make my nose look hideous when I smile, becoming even more bulbous and drooped than it already was. Am I able to raise/ sculpt the nose tip without having an overly feminine sloped profile?
Hi , Almost a year ago, I underwent septorhinoplasty to address both functional breathing issues and the aesthetic concerns I had with my nose. I chose a local surgeon who seemed confident and experienced, so I truly believed I was in good hands. While Im happy with the side profile, I have to admit Im disappointed with the front view. We had agreed to make the nostrils smaller, the bridge narrower, and the overall frontal appearance more refined but from the front, it honestly looks nearly unchanged. If anything, the nose appears even wider, and it seems like only the columella was slightly altered. Ive attached some before and after pictures (left is before) for reference. At this point, Im strongly considering a revision, as I dont feel this result reflects what was discussed or hoped for.
HI i want to know if getting a rhinoplasty would benefit me i dont like the the fact that i have bulbous tip and a kind of wide nose and also another surgery im contemplating on getting is lower blepharoplasty to hopefully correct the scleral show and protruding look of my eyes. those are the main things id like to fix but if you have any other recommendations please let me know
Im interested in a rhinoplasty , Ive been diagnosed With having a deviated septum a few times due to daily nasal pressure and stuffy nose with swelling. While fixing my septum, Im wondering if my nose can be slimmed and my columella reduced. Given my nose is cartilage heavy, would I see Significant improvements ?
I'm 1 year post-op for a septorhinoplasty and I think I may have slight pollybeak deformity. I know it's normal for some swelling to remain even after a year, but I'm worried that it will turn into permanent scar tissue. I went to my surgeon recently and he confirmed that the area I'm worried about is soft tissue and not cartilage, however he said that there was no point in having steroid injections. I really want to see if i can reduce this swelling before it's too late, and I was wondering if there are any drawbacks to steroid injections, especially if not done by my surgeon? And also how to go about finding a reputable person in London just to do steroid injections on my nose, as this seems like maybe more of a niche procedure?
My only gripe with my nose is how prominent my alar crease area is and minor width issues. I find that the excess skins creates a lot of 3-dimensionality to a feature I dont want to stick out, especially from my side profiles, ideally I would want a less obvious smoother crease. Im not sure what procedures exactly address this nor have I really seen any before and afters that have the same issue.
I had jaw surgery earlier this year and have an issue with asymmetrical nostril movement. One nostril no longer compresses when smiling or pursing lips creating a slanted appearance of the alar base. I believe this issue is related to the transection of the transverse nasalis muscle which I understand is done as part of the Lefort 1 osteotomy. I suspect one side failed to reattach correctly. Is this a known situation that can be addressed as part of a rhinoplasty procedure? I have found little online regarding this problem. Any relevant information would be appreciated. Thank you.
