Hi Im a 34 year old female who has under the skin, skin colored bumps on both sides of my chin. I have done two courses of Accutane with the last course completed 3 years ago. I have had chemical peels, microneedling, facials, etc. The bumps are not that noticeable unless I am in direct sunlight. I have had a biopsy and was told it is sebaceous hyperplasia. An esthetician said it is scarring from old acne. Someone else said it looks like calcium deposits. It is not milia. What is it?
I had a TCA peel with a derm, but it was too deep and left me with chemical burns, at the end it left me with hypopigmentation all around my face. The hypopigmentation zones are not depigmented (they are just a bit lighter than my normal color). The procedure was done a year ago. Are they gonna be repigmented again? I still have black hair follicles, is that correct that phototerapy can help with repigmentation if there are still melanocytes in hair follicle? Thank you
Recently diagnosed with rosacea and am currently looking at cosmetic treatments. My main issues that need addressing is the redness, flushing, and post inflammatory erythema (acne) spots. Ive read a lot about VBeam when it comes to rosacea, but my derm only offers the Excel V. They also offer Photodynamic Therapy, which Ive heard a lot about. Which laser or treatment do you think would be best for my concerns? I know rosacea cant be cured, but I want to make it as invisible as possible.
