I have dry eyes can I use Latisse ?

By lfurnari on 31 Dec 2009

I am 48 and have developed mild dry eyes in the last 6 months and would like to use some type of product to grow my lashes-would Latisse be a good option or is there a different product better suited to dry eyes?

Yes you can use lattise for your dry eyes.I am using latisse fronm 3 months and it provide me amazing results. The Latisse therapy is lengthy as the drug’s effects are slow. Results of therapy will show at eight weeks or two months. The chief benefit of using the Latisse treatment is that it’s relatively cheap therapy and not very cumbersome. Latisse is the FDA-approved treatment to grow lashes longer, fuller, darker, is easy to use, FDA approved and effective.

Latisse is a medication that is applied to the eyelids to cause eyelash growth. The preservatives if inserted into the eye can cause additional drying and side effects of the medication include redness. You should be able to use Latisse applied to your eyelids at bedtime according to the instructions even with dry eyes. I would recommend that you seek the care of an eyeMD and have your eyes examined to determined the cause of dryness. If the symptom of dryness is due to an eye infection, this should be treated first.

I have heard Latisse can irritate dry eyes, however my experience has been the opposite. I wear contacts and work as a systems analyst, so I stare at the computer all day. My eyes would get so dry and gritty feeling by mid-day. But since I've begun using Generic Latisse (4 weeks now) my eyes feel better then they have in a long time. I'm not sure why, but for me, they seem to be helping the dry eye.
