I have been told by doctor before lasik surgoy that it is simple , it will take one minute.. but in fact it was 25 mintues with subconjunctival heamorrhage for more than one week,My question : As you know there are different types of lasik surgery and different costs, how I will be sure or I... I have been in glasses since a little girl. My eyesight was 20/400 in both eyes with one astigmatism. My pupils were juuuuuuust on the brim of needing the upper scale procedure to prevent haloing. I trusted the dr when he said the halo would be minimal and it has been. The only side effect... READ MORE

I am so glad I finally made the decision to have Lasik correction. I had researched this procedure even back in the day when it was only experimental. I attended a lecture where they were looking for volunteers to do the procedure on, problem is back them they would only do one eye at at time,... READ MORE

Unintended consequences: One eye now smaller than the other which I am told, after the fact, is 'part of the aging process' and due to dry eyes, which I never had before operation. Before operation, eyes were beautiful and best feature. This 'aging process' never bothered me up til the day I had... READ MORE

Prior to my surgery, I was extremely nearsighted. In fact, if my glasses fell of the nightstand during the night, I had trouble finding them again without calling for someone to help. I'd been in glasses since elementary school, and contact lenses since high school. Because of long work hours,... READ MORE

The best thing is not having to look for my glasses in the morning or mad at myself for falling asleep with my contacts on!it was a painless procedure and the only thing was being uncomfortable with how dried my eyes were for 2 weeks and no rubbing but the drops took care of them as they healed... Best thing I've ever done for myself. Should have done it yrs ago. Please, if you are thinking about having the procedure, first do research, not every eye specialist is certified to do it and if they are, please read the reviews on that specialist and get the best. READ MORE

I was nervous about getting this procedure but was put at ease when the office walked me through each step during my consultation. All of my questions were answered and i felt completely comfortable with my decision. I had no discomfort during the operation to fix my nearsightedness and slight... READ MORE

I had Intralase Lasik completed just a few days ago. My experience with surgery and the aftermath would require me to recommomend it to everyone. The surgery was virtually painless. My eyes are only remotely dry, which is where any moisturizing eye drops will come in handy. My vision is 20/20... READ MORE

I had lasik just 1 day ago. The surgery was uncomfortable for me but not painful. The surgery lasted around 15 minutes and you could see. Your eyes are burning for a couple of hours after. After that slight discomfort on occassion. I just had it done so I can't comment on anything long term. READ MORE

I went to the best Dr. I could find after weeks and weeks of research. Dr. in Houston was fantastic! He explained that the halos come from not correcting the entire area of the eye that dilates. He dilated my eyes twice during one month because female cycles can affect that. I would... READ MORE

The procedure was simpler than I expected. I had a wavefront scan so that the doctor could better shape my corneas. I saw one of the top 100 surgeons in the country and it was worth it.The entire procedure took approximately 10 minutes for both eyes and I felt no pain during the procedure. ... READ MORE

I'm 32 and had Lasik about two years ago. I'm now have 20/20 vision and am very happy. My prescription was -4.0 in both eyes with slight astigmatism. I'd worn glasses and soft contacts since age 16. It's so great to wake up in the morning and be able to see everything! I had standard Lasik... READ MORE

I had Lasik eight years ago in 2001. Best thing I have every done!! Totally happy with it. Before I was so near sighted clear vision stopped 24" from my nose. I had worn hard contacts for about 15 years because of a stigmatism. In prepping for Lasik I wore glasses or soft contacts for... READ MORE

This was the best money I have ever spent. I hated wearing glasses and they cost me a fortune. I was forever changing them and having optical lenses put into designer sunglasses. I liked contact lenses but they kept splitting and that cost me even more. I had this done around eight years ago and... READ MORE

I had the new custom LASIK surgery. I can now see better than when I wore my contact lenses. I used the best surgeon, the same as advertised that Tiger Woods used. I then referred my friend and my sister to the same surgeon. They also both had excellent results. I also have no halos at night... READ MORE

My doctor was great and I think the doctor makes the experience what it is. It's a scary procedure, and there is discomfort at first, but if you follow the aftercare, it's short lived and worth it. I wanted to be able to wake up and see the clock, or be able to tell if that black spot on the... READ MORE

I had Lasik surgery in 1999 by a doctor who had done 50,000 surgeries and seemed knowledgeable. He told me being out of my gas perm. contacts for 3.5 weeks would be enough time for my eyes to relax prior to surgery. I have since learned that for every decade you are in gas perm/hard contacts,... READ MORE

I had Lasik done about 5-6 years ago and am so happy with the results.  I am now in my forties and have had bad eyesight since childhood with over -5 in each eye.  I had researched this for YEARS before making the decision to go through with it.  I actually would interview... READ MORE

I had recently had lasik out my eyes feel like they have been burnt, as if I have been staring at a bright welding rod all day.
