My Fraxel journey has had its challenges, and I'm not close to through yet, but I thought I would post here in case my experience is helpful to others. My motivation to get Fraxel is that at 38, my ultrafair skin is starting to show too many signs of aging, plus I have actinic keratosis which... READ MORE

5 treatments recommemded. Damage caused by 5th. Do not recommend Fraxel, not worth the agony of the damage it caused. I believe the doctor new of the damage she was causing but continued. After realizing the extent of the damage she had done, she stopped the session short and charged me $400... READ MORE

Wanted to target fine lines, acne scarring, blemishes, sun spots, and overall tone of skin. Longer than expected downtime. Thought I could go back to work on day 3... Not! Day 1---Swelling and tightness, a little pink. Stays this way for days 2 and 3 --but way worse. A lot of swelling around... READ MORE

Drink ALOT of water prior to your appointment. During Procedure: Was not numbed, felt like being snapped in the face with a rubber band repeatedly, smelled like burning flesh, heat progressed as treatment progressed. The pain was DEFINITELY there and I have a high pain tolerance. VERY red... READ MORE

My daughter initially found Dr. Gentile online, while she was looking for a plastic surgeon to perform "Smart Lipo", he is one of the few in the country qualified to perform it. Iv'e been to many consultations with other plastic surgeons in the past, but never felt comfortable with their bedside... READ MORE

This is my first treatment and just like others have stated, it was painful. I have scars from acne since I am a picker and cannot stand to see or feel any bumps on my face. I wasn't really sure about this treatment since I have a darker skin tone, and I didn't want to be burnt. So far, so good.... READ MORE

Want to share my journey through having fraxel restore laser. I've suffered from acne for over 20 years on and off. Had scarring most of my adult life due to this and mostly dealt with it fine, as my skin texture has somewhat improved over the years (or maybe I have just got used to my... READ MORE

Had fraxel duo on face and neck about an hour ago. I decided to try fraxel on face and neck and probably CO2 on the eyes (total fx). I was surprised, pleasantly, that it wasn't too painful and an hour or so later it doesn't feel that bad - mostly sunburnt and tight. There were definitely... READ MORE

Had my first Fraxel Laser procedure yesterday at Laser MD Commetics in Long Beach, Ca. A couple of nurse friends referred me. The physician performing the procedure is quite competent and has been performing laser for many years. His RN assistant Lisa has taught many physicians around the... READ MORE

I am 40 years old and had Fraxel Laser Surgery to get rid of crow┬┤s feet and slight wrinkled eye bags. It is my 6th day now and although the redness and swelling of the first 3 days has gone, I now have a disgusting looking crusty red and yellowish layer in that area. I am assuming it must be... Had Fraxel Dual on Friday afternoon -- writing this on Sunday morning. Dr. used only 1550 as I don't have much discoloration so he went after wrinkles. He used pretty high intensity (think he said #8), and told me that I'd probably be pretty swollen. Hope it's better tomorrow, since I have to go... READ MORE

I just had my 1st Fraxel:dual done to treat my acne scars, and I would like to share my experience here. BEFORE FRAXEL I did lots of research about Fraxel before I place my deposit. I read many negative feedbacks on realself, saw lots of sales pitch from spa and surgeon's offices and I... READ MORE

So, after having spent almost a year on researching for what treatment could be best for my acne, I found the perfect fit with fraxel. My acne is still active, so I thought that I would have to wait until it is fully under control to undergo a fraxel treatment, which really stressed me out... READ MORE

Ok...I had some hyperpigmentation from my teenage years of too much sun. By the way, I just turned 30 :(. This was my second time doing fraxel and here's how it went....I arrived an hour and a half before the procedure. They put some numbing cream on and left it on for about an hour and 15... READ MORE

I decided to do fraxel on my back which had severe acne scaring from my teen years. The procedure was not painful, though it felt tingly and prickly, like someone poking my with a sharp roller brush, not the rubber-band snap feeling you get from laser removal. I will post updates as I heal;... READ MORE

I had 4 treatments of Fraxel restore, and 2 IPL's were included in the price. I chose this Dr. because the price was good compared to others, close to my house, and I had had IPL with her before. She recommended I have thermage, which was cheaper, but after reading reviews here I was scared... READ MORE

I had the fraxel laser done to my upper cheeks, and all around my mouth. I see what all the orange peel comments mean now. The tiny dots where the laser frys you are left in my skin. Again I'm looking at my face in a 10x mirror. Nothing crazy bad. It was a thousand dollar gamble. If I had to do... READ MORE

So far I am pleased with the results. I think you have to realistic going into it, not thinking the result will be perfect skin, but improvement.
