Glycolic acid vs. Salicylic acid - which chemical peel is better for acne?

I have light to moderate acne, and a friend suggested that I start getting monthly chemical peels.  I've read up on glycolic acid peels and salicylic acid peels but they seems so similar I don't know which one would be a better acne...

Is a chemical peel the best acne treatment?

I have mild breakouts of acne...my gf says acne is best treated with TCA chemcial peels. I would like to know about peels and whether they are recommended over other acne...
