Anti-aging

Anti-aging is a popular term used to describe procedures, products, and even activities designed to reverse (or at least delay) the aging processes that affect our physical appearance and prevent us from retaining a youthful look.

Anti Aging Treatments

Physicians, skin clinics, and nearly every spa offers skin and body rejuvenating treatments for anti-aging.

Anti-aging treatments for the eyes

Rejuvenating the eyes will often involve removal of eye bags, loose skin, and fat deposits. Eye bags are bulging fat, normally held back in the eye socket. The shadow created along the "tear trough" contributes to the appearance of aging.

Although eyes are most often treated with eyelift surgery (called a blepharoplasty), no two cases are identical, and for some a nonsurgical option may be worthwhile.

Most surgeons remove the bags by taking out the fat, but as we get older we lose fat around the eyes, and so it may actually accelerate the aging process in the end.  For milder aging signs around the eyes, a wrinkle filler such as Restylane, Perlane, or Juvederm may work.

Anti-aging by improving your smile

Cosmetic dentists say that one of the most effective ways to take years off is by improving the smile. When we smile, we:

  • Feel great
  • Make others around us feel great (it's contagious!)
  • Look younger
  • Feel younger... refreshed and healthy

Dental treatments range from a simple tooth whitening procedure to a full smile makeover with veneers and bonding. Any combination of whitening, straightening (Invisalign), bonding or veneers can be used to achieve a brighter, more cheerful smile.

Anti-aging skincare

To regain the youthful skin tone you once exhibited, there are countless exfoliation and skin resurfacing procedures available. What's right for you often depends on your age, sun damage, and other health factors that cause skin to age and appear dull.
